'Our Esthers'
|
Esther was a young girl who was from a nation that was suffered inequality and persecution. Circumstances led to her being made queen of a nation. She was then able to influence her own people’s situation and save them from destruction. A banquet was held in her honour and she has been remembered for thousands of years. ‘For such a time as this’ is a term used to express that
Esther was made queen at a crucial time for the saving of her own people. 'Our Esthers' is a local project to reach out to women in the community. Currently, it will run weekly with key speakers from organisaitons within the community with specialist support i.e. domestic violence etc. Each evening will be an opportunity to have some refreshments and cake, a speaker, some time for making friends and sharing and support along with engaging in crafts/hobbies and past times. PROJECT INFORMATION The objective of “Our Esther’s” Ladies Outreach project is to enable One Life Church to offer friendship and mentoring facilities whilst interacting within the community.
