In the 1860’s Eston experienced a measure of revival. There was a move of the Holy Spirit involving local miners and youth. Bibles were taken down the mines. Instead of drinking and swearing there was singing and praying on the street corners. This move was described as an extraordinary move of the Holy Spirit. We know that many Methodist churches were built in this time period and other churches built around the turn of the century. The growth seems to continue until the first world war.
At One Life Church we whole heartedly believe the Church needs reviving in these days. We need to see the power of God released as in the days of pentecost. The Kingdom of God is not about words but of POWER. Join us in praying for the Tees Valley area. |
